Cooperation with schools

Strengthening and expanding the cooperation between universities and schools is a main concern of the Centre for Teacher Education. It is based on the belief that current and future challenges of teacher education can only be addressed by a strong partnership between schools and universities. The close cooperation with schools helps to connect teachers with research at universities, and supports schools in their development process. At the same time, the intensive contact with schools increases the practical relevance of the teacher education programme, and prepares students of teacher education better for their future field of work. Therefore, the cooperative use of each other’s potentials and the development of an inter-institutional academic community are central objectives of the collaboration between the Centre for Teacher Education and schools.
