International

The Center for Teacher Education promotes the international exchange of students and staff and aims for greater international cooperation in the field of teacher education. In addition to international mobility, the Center also aims at expanding internationalisation at home. By becoming a member of the European university network European University Foundation, formerly known as Campus Europae, the University of Vienna is specifically promoting the mobility of students of teacher education and promoting a high-quality exchange of students.

To strengthen its international network, the Center has reached agreements with comparable centers for teacher education, including the Professional School of Education of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Center for Teacher Education and Interdisciplinary Educational Research at the University of Augsburg. Other faculty agreements exist with the Faculty of Educational Sciences at University of Bremen, the College of Education and Behavioral Studies at Addis Ababa University, the Faculty of Education at Kochi University and the Faculty of Education at Srinakharinwirot University Bangkok.

The mobility programmes for faculty and staff offer an international work, teaching and research experience. Programme participants have the opportunity to get new insights into their own professional activities and benefit from financial support for a professional stay abroad.
